Chloe’s vocabulary is growing at a tremendous rate lately. She’s also starting to put multiple words together. It’s very neat to see her suddenly start using new phrases. One of her new items is a pair of sunglasses. On the way home from the babysitter, we drive straight west and the sun often shines in her eyes. Her response is ‘no no no…ow ow ow’ and covers her eyes. Tonight on the way home, she weighed in on world violence with a simple gesture. While she flashed the peace sign, she’s far from a pacifist. If she wants it, she lets you know and will not give up easily.
Each day that passes, Trey and Chloe definitely become better buddies. There is no doubt that Chloe is very consumed with where Trey is at all times. If he’s in his room and starts crying, she will come find you immediately yelling ‘CRYING CRYING, TREY!’ Trey responds to her very well and the two feed off each other. Trey had his 6 month well child appointment today. He’s hit a growth spurt and now he weighs 17 lbs 2 oz (28th %), 26.25 inches (25th %), and he still has a big melon for the rest of his body since his head circumference is in the 44th %. Trey sits up on his own with no problems now. Lately he’s decided that he actually likes baby food and has been swallowing the food rather than spitting it back at us when we feed it to him. It’s kind of scary because he’s so much larger than she was at this age and he’s catching up to her too! Here is a picture we took tonight (sorry for bad quality, it’s a cell phone pic) of Chloe holding Trey. You can see how close in size they are. When we run out of his current size 3 diapers, he will be in the same size 4 diapers that she wears!
