Chloe is going to be a big sissy

Lots of things are happening since the last update.  Chloe’s two bottom teeth are out, and we are fairly sure the extremely unprovoked crying fits are pain from her teeth.  We are back to waking up nightly with crying spells.

Undoubtedly the biggest news though is Chloe’s big sisterhood details.  She will have a baby brother.  He’ll be hardened through grade school as he learns to deal with his middle name since he’ll be Michael LuVerne Lewis, III.  For short, we will call him Trey.  Here are some ultrasound pictures of him at 18 weeks.  The due date if June 22nd.  The first is looking at him from the side.  The second is a frontal view.  The third picture picture shows his feet, and his man gear is in the last picture.

Next weekend is Chloe’s first birthday party.  Kelly is already stressed and it is fairly low maintenance party.  I told Terri that I don’t even want to think about Kelly’s state of mind when Chloe gets married!

She isn’t walking alone yet, but she’s getting very good at walking behind a toy of hers.  Tonight she stood up in the living room with nothing to hold onto and walked about 4 steps to the couch.  She followed that up with gracefully falling down multiple times trying to do it again.

One of the cutest things she does is start bouncing when music or one of her toys starts playing a song.

Christmas 2009

Once again, the Lewis’ are very behind in updating the blog.  Attached are some pix of the Lewis family over Christmas.  We will hopefully be getting some video up soon.  We’ve had a lot going on in the last few weeks.  As many of you know, I am pregnant.  It was a surprise to Mike and me, but we are super excited!  Now that we are going to have 2 babies and 2 dogs and 2 adults…we decided our little house just isn’t big enough to hold all of us.  Well, it can hold all of us…our STUFF is the problem!

We put the house up on the market 01/09/10.  So far we’ve had 2 showings and the feedback has been positive but no offers yet.  We’ve never sold a house before and this is probably one of the most stressful and time consuming processes two controlling perfectionists can go through.  We are hanging in there, though.  We hope this process won’t take too long, but with the way the market is, it will be a miracle if it doesn’t.

Chloe turned 11mos old and I can hardly believe it.  Each time I take her pink bear pics it makes me sad at how big she is getting.  There is only 1 slot left in her picture frame and that will be for her 1 yr pic.  I just can’t believe she is going to be a year old!  We aren’t sure what we are going to do for her birthday, but will keep everyone posted.  So far we have Feb 6 slotted for a “party”.

We went back to Wichita over Christmas.  We were home for over a week, which was really nice.  We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Lewis’ for a few days and at Nana and Papa’s for a few days.  We think Chloe was a little disappointed that her crawling space was about ¼ of what it had been in Wichita .  She’d look at us like, “This is it?”

Chloe is becoming quite the entertainer.  We went to breakfast with Grandpa at the Argosy and Chloe sat in her high chair singing and talking extremely loudly almost the entire time we were there.  She went strong for a good 45mins. Mike would try to put his hand over her mouth to see if she would be quiet and she thought he wanted her to do the Indian chant.  Needless to say, we received quite a few glances, stares, and the occasional young couple look of “we are NEVER having kids”.

We took Chloe to Natalie’s basketball game and once she warmed up and caught on to what was going on, she started her chanting.  Natalie said she could hear her on the other side of the gym.  The funny thing was, Chloe is really big into clapping and she didn’t clap once during the game.  She had no probably clapping at 3am earlier that morning, so maybe she was clapped out.

Chloe has decided that she likes to wake up at 3a 4am and stay up for an hour or so, just playing…in our bed…then she goes back to sleep until 6 or 7.  Not a good routine for us to be in!

She’s crawling and she’s standing quite a bit on her own.  We are pretty sure walking is in the near future.  She doesn’t have any teeth yet, but she sure acts like she’s teething sometimes! We go from little smiles and giggles to SCREAMS…then we go back.

I have my dr’s appt on 1/19 to find out if I’m having a boy or a girl.  I’m thinking it’s a boy.  We will keep everyone posted on the new baby’s gender, selling the house, buying a house, and Chloe’s BIG birthday.
