In the last week, Chloe has really started to do a motor boat sound. It took some prompting this time, but she did it.

Hello everyone!
In true Lewis fashion, the blog has been neglected. Since the last update, quite a bit has happened.
My parents have been up to visit twice, with the most recent being last weekend. Chloe has developed a ton in just a short period of time from when they saw her a few weeks ago and now. She is all about telling everyone about how she feels in the morning. She also has been perfecting her war cry.

She also has a pink standing saucer that she loves to play in now. As long as she isn't puking, mom and dad love her in it too! Speaking of puking, that is still going on but solids are making a positive difference. She didn’t care so much for the rice cereal so we tried oatmeal, which she loved. Then we started peas on Saturday and clearly she likes them.
While my parents were in town, we also went to a KU pep rally here in KC. Chloe got to break out one of MANY KU outfits she has received. She was a little apprehensive about Baby Jay but seemed to like Big Jay.
Also since last updating the blog, the Lewis family went on vacation! We went to the Lake of the Ozarks with the Dunaway’s, Holding’s, and Scott’s girlfriend, Alyssa. We stayed in a beautiful house right on the water and did jet skis, boating/tubing, parasailing, and quite a bit of eating! Terri was on baby patrol with her grandbabies while the older kids played on the lake. On the youtube site, you have to watch the tubing videos, especially the one of Alyssa and Scott…you’ll easily figure out why.
Chloe did great on the car ride down and we only needed to stop once. On the way home, she slept the whole way so it was great. Grandma Karen watched Maddie and Lawrence while we were gone, and those two had to feel like they were in heaven with Chloe not around!
I have talked more with the chair of the peds department at KU, and I’ll start being an attending there in late September or early October 2010.
Kelly had a near breakdown when she got told they needed her to go to San Francisco for 2 days on fairly short notice. After coming to grips with the situation, she was at the airport in KC and her flight out of KC kept getting delayed. Ultimately, she never left town because she would have not made her connecting flight in Denver. Thus, Chloe and dad didn’t have to be forced to be without mom for a night.
Chloe also had her 6 month checkup on August 13th. She tipped the scales at 13 lbs 9 oz. She is in the 8th % for weight, 2nd % for height, and 25th % for head circumference so she’s a short girl with a big brain.
There are a bunch of new pictures and probably some old ones in the attached gallery.
